St. Patrick's Parade 2010 Route: Staging Area is on Cass at Jefferson going East to Nuccio Parkway. Goes North East on Nuccio Pkwy to 7th Ave.. The Parade starts at this point. Parade turns right on 7th Ave. and goes East on 7th Ave. to 20th St. and turns left. The Parade finish is at 7th Ave. and 20th St.. When the Parade turns left on 20th St. it enters the Disbanding Area. Disbanding area goes North on 20th St. to Palm Ave. and turns left on to Palm Ave. going West to 15th St. and ends. You must turn off music, stop throwing beads and stay on the float until you turn onto Palm Avenue. Once you’re on Palm Ave. Law enforcement will let you get off and unload the float. YOU MUST ENTER THE STAGING AREA AT JEFFERSON STREET AND CASS STREET !!! Law enforcement WILL NOT allow entry to the staging area from any other location The Tampa Police Department informed us they would be monitoring the St. Patrick’s Parade for the following: - No alcohol. Including outside bar taps. No cans or bottles. No ice sculptures for drinking purposes.
- No soliciting for showing body parts.
- Do not throw or give beads to Law Enforcement Officers.
- Use caution when near Trolley Wires. Do not throw beads when near Trolley wires.
- Do not use confetti cannons.
- Do not throw beads overhand, only underhand. Drivers are not to throw beads.
- Stay with your Unit. Do not walk back through Parade route.
- Every parade entry must have security personnel wearing Safety Vest at each corner of Parade Entry. This is to help prevent people from falling under the parade entry.
- Only Floats and vehicles with official assigned position numbers to be in the parade will be allowed in the staging area. No vehicles will be allowed to bring equipment, food or people into the staging area.
